At Ptarmon, our roots are in the wild. We named our company after the ptarmigan—a remarkable upland bird known for its seasonal camouflage and adaptability in some of the harshest environments on Earth. Like our gear, the ptarmigan doesn’t rely on a single look; it constantly shifts its plumage from snowy white in winter to mottled gray-brown in summer to blend into changing terrain and light. This isn’t just a cool animal fact—it’s the spirit that drives everything we design.
